Manchester United are considering a move for Ryan Bertrand on a free transfer, according to reports.
Erik ten Hag faces a dilemma at left-back with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia both injured.
Diogo Dalot is expected to deputise temporarily, while Alvaro Fernandez is another option, although the 20-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for United.
According to the Daily Express, United are weighing up whether to sign a short-term solution to solve their issue at left-back and are targeting Bertrand.
The 34-year-old, who won the Champions League, FA Cup and Europa League with Chelsea, is currently available on a free transfer after leaving Leicester City earlier this summer.

The report claims that United have held initial talks with Bertrand’s representatives over a potential move to Old Trafford.
When asked about the possibility of signing a new left-back before the end of the transfer window, Ten Hag said this week: ‘If there are good opportunities, yes.
‘It has to be the right player. Otherwise we have to deal with the current squad.
‘And as I said before, we went through the scenarios before the season, in our transfer strategy, and if it happened we have the solution.’
