Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) is set to be rocked when a surprise face from the past rocks up in EastEnders.
When Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) unexpectedly walks into the Queen Vic, Phil is put out by his presence.
Phil and Ian have never had a particularly friendly relationship, despite the fact that Phil was once his step-dad.
Just before Ian fled the Square in 2021, Phil was helping Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) to poison him after learning that Ian had contributed to son Denny’s death.
Initially, Phil was wary about going along with the plan, pointing out the Sharon would be the number one murder suspect after Ian’s death.

However, he soon changed his mind, and it was ultimately Sharon who knocked the plan on it’s head, revealing all to Ian over a bowl of poisoned carbonara.
Though Sharon wants to make amends and build bridges with Ian now that he is back in Walford, Phil is of the opposite opinion, and he makes it very clear that he wants Ian gone.
