Lives will be on the line in EastEnders this autumn if new reports are to believed, with a catastrophic fire set to rip through Walford.
Be afraid, be very afraid.
A terrifying blaze will rip through Kathy’s cafe, destroying the iconic Albert Square setting, with a number of lives left in peril as a result.
The scenes in question, which are claimed to air in autumn, have already been filmed and look ‘incredible’, according to sources.
How exactly the fire is ignited remains to be seen, but it’s thought that it’s deliberate, meaning foul play is afoot.
‘Bosses are staying tight-lipped about who’s behind the attack and who is left fighting for their lives, but viewers can expect lots of drama as the storyline unfolds on-screen and the residents of Walford deal with the fallout of the event’ an insider claimed to The Sun.
‘[The scenes] are part of the explosive autumn the show has lined up.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to EastEnders for comment.
The BBC One soap has been firing on all cylinders as of late, with producer Chris Clenshaw having served up one of the show’s finest years in a long time, restoring it to its former glory.
Cindy Beale is set to stage a huge comeback next week, with a recent development having seen her death superbly ‘retconned’, meaning that with a dose of clever writing, she is very much alive and well.

The legend’s arrival in Walford isn’t the only big event on the agenda in the second half of the year, however, as there is also the big Christmas murder, which was teased in a historic flash forward episode in February.
It’s safe to say it’s going to be an autumn and winter to remember for EastEnders, which has everyone talking again, just like the good old days.
