Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari split, US media say

US singer Britney Spears and her husband Sam Asghari have reportedly split after 14 months of marriage, US media says. 

The couple met in 2016 on the set of a music video, they married in June 2022. 

Asghari,29 has supported Spears throughout her fight to end her conservatorship. 

Whilst US tabloids are claiming the couple have split, representatives for them have not yet commented. 

TMZ broke the story and a source confirmed to the Associated Press news agency that Asghari had filed for divorce. 

The pair were recently spotted not wearing their wedding rings in public. 

The reported separation comes ahead of Britney’s memoir – The Women in Me – this October. 

Spears had previously married her childhood friend Jason Alexander for 55 hours in 2004, before marrying rapper Kevin Federline from 2004 to 2007. She shares two teenage sons with Federline.
