England fans are gearing up to support the Lionesses ahead of a historic semi-final showdown.
Both England and host nation Australia are hoping to win today’s match and reach the Women’s World Cup final for the first time.
Despite playing on the other side of the world, the Lionesses still have a great showing of support, with England flags flooding the streets of Sydney ahead of today’s game.
Crowds of fans posed with England scarves in front of the Sydney Opera House, with one even carrying an inflatable football boot with them.
The Lionesses will have a lot of support from home and further afield, too.
Football legend David Beckham and his daughter Harper have shared a message of support and encouragement with the team.
But up-and-coming women’s football stars are still in need of more support in their careers, including media training and ‘pastoral care’, a top sports agent has said.
