Parks and Recreation icon Li’l Sebastian appeared to rise from horsey heaven to support his friends during the Hollywood strikes.

The small horse joined the comedy’s cast members including Aubrey Plaza, Nick Offerman, Adam Scott and Retta on the picket line outside Amazon’s headquarters in California on Friday.

Ben Schwartz, who played Jean-Ralphio in the NBC sitcom, shared a picture of the miniature animal peacefully protesting on Instagram in a ‘rare appearance.’

He captioned the post: ‘Lil Sebastian made a rare public appearance to support the #sagaftrastrike #wgastrike alongside some people who understand how amazing he is.’

Writing on her Instagram story, Retta wrote: ‘Pawnee is a union town,’ referencing the fictional town where the show was set.

The Parks And Recreation cast reunion comes as the major strike by US acting union Sag-Aftra nears one month, having begun on July 14.

Multiple famous faces have been pictured on the picket lines in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, including Oscar-winning actors Brandan Fraser and Jessica Chastain.

Hilary Duff, Bob Odenkirk, Kevin Bacon and Bryan Cranston have also joined other union members on strike.

The strike has resulted in a major stalling of major Hollywood productions, events and award ceremonies, with actors forbidden from engaging in any promotional activity for work.

Sag-Aftra, which represents around 160,000 actors across the US, has raised concerns over a number of issues including pay in the age of streaming and the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Li’l Sebastian was a fan favourite on the Emmy-nominated sitcom until his tragic demise in the finale of series three.

Parks and Recreation ran for seven series from 2009 until 2015 and focussed on the employees of a local government department in a fictional Indiana town.

Created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur, the series also starred the likes of Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones and Chris Pratt.
