Rasmus Hojlund fulfilled a boyhood dream when he took to the field as a Manchester United player before the side’s friendly against Lens at Old Trafford.
The Dane’s £64m move to Old Trafford was confirmed just ten minutes before kick-off against the Ligue 1 side.
Hojlund was then presented to supporters before kick-off and Old Trafford came to its feet for its newest recruit.
United have been crying out for a forward and injury-ravaged Anthony Martial is still out of action from the hamstring issue that he sustained before the FA Cup final at the end of last season.
The 20-year-old has blistering pace, stands at 6ft3 and has a left-footed strike that has seen him compared to Erling Haaland.

But any hopes of seeing Hojlund in action against Wolves in next week’s opener have been dashed after United confirmed the Dane is currently weeks away from match fitness.
Hojlund sustained a small issue in pre-season with Atalanta, though the issue was not significant enough for the Dane to fail his medical.
Nevertheless, it’s disappointing news for United fans, who may have to wait until September to see the Dane in action.
In Martial’s absence against Lens, Marcus Rashford was selected to start in a central position with Antony and Alejandro Garnacho either side.
