    2023 Women’s World Cup: The Stadiums – Sydney Football Stadium 

    The Sydney Football Stadium will host six matches at the upcoming World Cup. 

    The Sydney Football Stadium is a top destination for Australian sports and entertainment. It was initially opened in 1988 and has been a celebrated venue for football for more than three decades. Some of the greatest players have played here including Pele and Maradona.

    The venue is just 3.5 km from Sydney’s city centre, close to the gateway airport.

    FIFA World Cup 2023 fixtures

    The iconic venue will host six matches at the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023. Of those games, five will be from the group stages and one knockout tie – beginning with the opening Group F clash between France and Jamaica on 23 July. 

    Colombia will play twice at the venue in Group H to face the Korean Republic and Germany, while England will play its Group D game against Denmark. 

    The venue’s group stages will finish up with Group F as France will play there once more. 

    The ground’s final game at the tournament will be the last-16 clash between the side which tops Group E and the nation that finishes as runners-up in Group G on 6 August.

    General Information:

    Public gates open two (2) hours prior to kick off and we encourage you to arrive early to enjoy activations in the stadium precinct and for smooth entry into your allocated seat.

    If you have a Hospitality ticket, you will enter through Gate 2 or 5. Staff will help navigate you to your hospitality space from there.

    Food and beverage options will be available and can be purchased using card payments only.

    There will also be merchandise stores outside the stadium, with one located near Gate 5 and the other near Gate 3, along with merchandise being available in the stadium to kit yourself out and will accept card payments only.
