Adam Thomas will reportedly take part in Strictly Come Dancing (Picture: PA)
Strictly Come Dancing will be waltzing its way back into our living rooms in a matter of months, and the BBC reality show has reportedly signed up Adam Thomas as one of the celebrity novices.
The former Emmerdale actor and current Waterloo Road star would be swapping his Donte Charles character scripts for ballroom shoes, and the chance to show off his own bubbly personality.
He’s no stranger to the programme and its content as he previously showed his unique sense of humour when he joked that he wanted to experience its infamous curse despite being married.
The ‘Strictly curse’ is a term used to describe when celebrities end up in romantic relationships with their professional dance partners.
The Sun reported that he said: ‘Bring it all on. I love a bit of glitz and glam.

‘I just want to experience the Strictly curse.’
Adam, 34, was very much joking as he married his long-term girlfriend Caroline Daly in 2017. The couple have children Elsie-Rose, five, and son Teddy, eight, who plays his son Tommy on Waterloo Road.
A TV insider told the publication: ‘After two decades on screen and, as one of the Thomas brothers, he instantly brings a huge fanbase. That’s what Strictly bosses love.’

Adam is part of a trio of famous siblings. His twin brother Scott was a Love Island finalist in 2016. His partner on the show, and former girlfriend Kady McDermott has now reentered the villa.
His older brother Ryan Thomas was a Coronation Street favourite and won the final series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The source continued: ‘Producers also see him as someone who can fill the young hunk role, which is important and often sees them pick soap stars.’
We’ve previously seen soap favourites James Bye, Jake Wood, Danny Mac and eventual winner Kelvin Fletcher on the dance floor.
Adam has already been working on his fitness following an injury.
