Taylor Swift fans freaking out over Glastonbury-shaped gap in Eras Tour UK dates

Taylor Swift fans reckon they’ve sussed the Glastonbury 2024 lineup just days after this year’s festival came to a close.

After a record-breaking weekend of live music from the likes of the Arctic Monkeys, Lizzo, The Foo Fighters, an emotional set from Lewis Capaldi, and Sir Elton John’s epic last UK live show, fans are chomping at the bit for next year already.

Missing from the lineup in 2023 were a few famous faces, who are now being tipped as favourites to make an appearance next June on Worthy Farm.

Perhaps the biggest names in the mix are The Spice Girls, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift.

While the first two could be anyone’s guess – save the Spice Up Your Life singers confessing they would love to perform at the festival – Taylor might already have saved the date.

Just last week, the Shake It Off singer sent shockwaves around her UK fan base when she took to Twitter and announced her famous Eras Tour would be coming to the UK next year.

‘EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY,’ she wrote.

‘I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!

‘Visit http://TaylorSwift.com/tour for more information on your registrations, pre-sales and on-sales!!’

While Glastonbury are yet to confirm their dates for next year, the festival usually falls on the last weekend of June, meaning it will likely be Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30th June 2024.

And guess what? While Taylor’s Eras Tour is hitting up Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on Friday June 28 and 29, she has a very free Sunday – the exact same day a headline slot could be closing the the Somerset festival.

Naturally, Swifties got a little bit animated at this bit of investigative work, as one wrote: ‘Will Taylor Swift be next year’s Sunday Glastonbury headliner? She’s keeping both the 23rd and 30th June 2024 free right now…’

Others also noticed the Foo Fighters – who played an incredible surprise Glastonbury set under the name of The Churnups on Friday night – also have a Glasto-shaped gap in their tour next year.

‘Foo’s have left Glastonbury weekend free in the UK next year. Taylor Swift and Dave Grohl in the same weekend maybe?’ asked one fan.

Another said: ‘Nice gap for Foo Fighters to play Glastonbury on the Friday night next year with Taylor Swift headlining on the Sunday.’

Someone else commented: ‘Foos & Taylor Swift both with Glastonbury size gaps on their UK tours, surely not.’

We might have a bit of time to wait yet before we know for certain who will be headlining Glastonbury next year, but Swifties – brace yourselves…
