Tim Henman has fired a warning to Andy Murray’s Wimbledon rivals and has urged fellow British star Emma Raducanu not to rush her return from injury.
Two-time Wimbledon champion Murray is in action at Queen’s Club in London this week before the Championships gets started on July 3 in SW19.
The 36-year-old, who plays with a metal hip, has been on a resurgence since his career-saving surgery and has won three ATP Challenger Tour titles this year.
Murray feels he is still capable of beating the best players in the world on grass and former British No.1 Henman told Metro.co.uk: ‘I agree.
‘On grass, it’s a good surface for him. Just like Novak Djokovic, Andy has experience on the grass in Grand Slams.
‘Playing with a home crowd, I think there are a lot of players who would be looking to avoid Murray at Wimbledon.’
Henman has also warned Raducanu not to return to the WTA Tour until she is ‘100 per cent fit’ after the 2021 US Open winner underwent three different surgeries.

He feels the 20-year-old should use this time to get the structure of her team in order, with Raducanu seeking her sixth coach in two years after parting ways with Sebastian Sachs.
‘From Emma’s point of view, she’s had these three surgeries, she’s going to be out of the game for some time,’ Henman added. ‘It’s a really good opportunity for her to get that structure right.
‘That includes a tennis coach, a physio and a fitness trainer. Hopefully that’s something she will implement so when she is ready to come back and work on her game he’s got a good team around her.’

Quizzed about her return to action, Henman said: ‘It’s related to if she is healthy.
‘If she’s healthy, has done all the rehabilitation and fitness work and she is ready to play, then play.
‘If she’s not, then don’t play. It’s going to be dictated by her body. She’s got to be 100 per cent fit.’
