Harry Styles fumbled a fan’s big moment during his third night performing at London’s Wembley Stadium on Friday.
The 29-year-old global superstar thrilled thousands more Stylers with his renditions of smash hits Watermelon Sugar, Matilda and One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful – but for one fan there was a different standout second in store that she would never forget.
Pausing proceedings as he usually does on Love On Tour nights, Harry announced he was ready to read the signs people in the standing area had brought to the show.
Waltzing across the stage in a glittery purple set of dungarees that featured adorable black sequined love hearts, the As It Was singer carefully selected three messages to relay to the roaring Wembley crowd.
One, in particular, caught his eye and caused him to skip down the runway shouting: ‘Who’s pregnant?’ in response to a concert-goer named Alanna’s placard.
Before he could inteact with the fan – who was 18 weeks pregnant – he took the time to scream, ‘I love you too mate’ to an audience member that was desperate to declare his admiration for the artist.
Harry styled out his mistake by launching into song
The star was playing his third night in the arena
Getting back to business, Alanna handed Harry an envelope and instructed him to open it and announce the gender of her child to the eagerly awaiting stadium.
He double-checked the expectant mother was happy sharing the ‘very personal moment’ with the crowd, called on the help of his band to create suspense and built the tension by teasing, ‘It’s a…’ numerous times.
Admitting ‘this is called edging’, to his newfound friend Harry ultimately screamed: ‘It’s a boy’, down his microphone and pumped his tattooed arm into the air.
He attempted to congratulate the mother-to-be but was stopped in his tracks mid-sentence as he enthusiastically flung the paper containing the results into the packed pit.
He named the tour his ‘favourite’ of all time
Opening his eyes wide, Harry was speechless for a second before he said: ‘Hope you find that again!’ and offered further well-wishes.
Elsewhere, during his magical performance, the star took time away from belting out chart-topping hits to help a ticker-holder tell his best friend he was bi-sexual.
Reading a sign out loud that read: ‘Help me come out to my bff as bi’, Harry spent a jovial few minutes getting to know Alfie and learned that he was enjoying the concert with said friend albeit in different sections of the stadium.
He demanded to know what type of music Alfie liked as he urged they all ‘did this properly’ and launched into his signature segment with all the love in the world.
Adopting a fast-paced twinkle, Harry wrapped himself in an LGBTQ+ flag and began singing the chant: ‘We’re coming out tonight, we’re coming out tonight, we’re coming out tonight as bi’.
The show was a feather-boa infused spectacle
The Golden singer ran around in circles growing more energetic in his sing-song before he stopped and yelled with fervour: ‘Alfie, you are officially bi… freedommmm’.
During an interaction that kicked off his sign antics for the third night in a row, the star encouraged the entire stadium to sing happy birthday to a placard-bearing fan whose face was projected onto the big screen with teary eyes as she fathomed what was happening.
Harry’s Love On Tour hit London with an almighty bang and it’ll take staff in the area more than a few clean-ups to rid the iconic venue of sparkle and feather debris.
Chatting as he brought the show to an end, Harry admitted Wembley had a ‘special place in [his] heart’ after he competed for the X Factor boot camp stages just across the road from the arena.
