Kevin Spacey has insisted people will start hiring him for acting projects again if he’s cleared of sexual misconduct charges.
The House of Cards star, 63, was charged one year ago in London with four counts of sexual assault, allegedly having committed repeated assaults between 2005 and 2013.
Spacey pleaded not guilty to the charges and a new trial is set for June 28.
Speaking in a new interview published on Wednesday, Spacey claimed people were ready to ‘move forward’ with his career, adding that he’d be hired again as soon as the charges against him are dropped.
He also accused the media of turning him into a ‘monster’, saying to Germany’s ZEIT magazine: ‘I know that there are people right now who are ready to hire me the moment I am cleared of these charges in London.’
Spacey self-assuredly continued: ‘The second that happens, they’re ready to move forward.’

The former Hollywood staple also told the outlet that he hoped his upcoming trial would play out similarly to the Anthony Rapp case, in which the American Beauty actor was found not liable of sexual misconduct.
‘The moment scrutiny is applied, these things fall apart,’ the actor went on.
‘That’s what happened in the Rapp trial, and that’s what will happen in this case.’
It was confirmed in April that Spacey’s new trial date would be this month as he faces allegations of sexual assault against four men.

He has previously denied 12 charges between 2001 and 2013.
In December, it was reported that Spacey was facing seven new charges, including three counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
Each of the alleged offences took place between 2001 and 2004 and reportedly include allegations of sexual touching, touching over clothing and the defendant forcing the complainant’s hand against his privates over clothing.

In January, the Hollywood star pleaded not guilty to three counts of indecent assault, three counts of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
He had previously denied four charges of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.
