Sex And The City star Kristin Davis has opened up about the cosmetic procedures that she’s had in the past, saying that she ‘shed tears’ when she was mocked over her fillers.

Later this month, the spin-off sequel series And Just Like That returns for season 2, with SATC alum Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin reuniting yet again alongside several of their fellow co-stars from the original show.

In a shock announcement, it was recently revealed that Kim Cattrall would also be reprising her role as fan-favourite character Samantha – although she isn’t going to share the screen with other members of the cast.

In a recent interview, Kristin, 58, candidly shared the impact that criticism on her appearance had on her.

Speaking to The Telegraph, she explained that when she tried Botox, she was ‘super-excited’ that she didn’t have lines on her forehead, adding: ‘But I didn’t do anything else for a long time.’

The actor continued: ‘I have done fillers and it’s been good and I’ve done fillers and it’s been bad. I’ve had to get them dissolved and I’ve been ridiculed relentlessly. And I have shed tears about it. It’s very stressful.’

Nowadays, Kristin admits that she ‘can’t keep it up’ because she doesn’t ‘have time’.

‘You’re trusting doctors [but] people personally blame us when it goes wrong – [as if] I jabbed a needle in my face…’ she stated.

Speaking about work that she had on her lips, she said: ‘No one told me it didn’t look good for the longest time.’

However, she acknowledged that ‘luckily’ she has close friends who ‘eventually’ said something to her.

‘The thing is you don’t smile at yourself in the mirror. Who smiles at themselves in the mirror? Crazy people,’ she remarked.

The trailer for And Just Like That season two was recently released, teasing the return of one of Carrie’s (Sarah) former flames Aidan (John Corbett), following the death of her husband Mr Big (Chris Noth).

Carrie says in a voiceover: ‘And just like that, I realised some things are better left in the past, but maybe not everything.’

And Just Like That season 2 premieres on Monday June 22 on Sky and NOW.
