Sir Rod Stewart is set to abandon his life in Los Angeles as he has grown tired of the ‘toxic’ culture, it has been reported.
The Maggie May hitmaker, 78, and his wife Penny Lancaster, 52, both born in the UK, have made the trip back across the pond to celebrate Annabel’s 60th anniversary party in London.
It comes shortly after the rocker put his sprawling Beverly Hills mansion on the market for a whopping £70million, with sources revealing the rocker has no plans to purchase another property in the area.
Sir Rod, who was born in the UK, is said to feel like he has ‘no privacy’ in the area, and has chosen to return to Britain full-time alongside his wife and their sons, Alastair, 18, and Aiden, 12.
They additionally said that TV presenter and model Penny and their children do not want want to deal with the ‘nuisance’ of travelling back and forth between the UK and US anymore.
‘Penny loves the life she has made away from America and away from LA. She enjoys nothing more than working for the police force,’ the insider told the Daily Mail.

‘She also finds traveling to be more of a nuisance than anything and wants to just live her life as a working mom.
‘Besides, her and Rod’s boys are in no way wanting to leave their school and friends in the UK to come over to America.’
The couple’s sons are both currently enrolled in a school in Essex, while Penny, who married Rod in 2007, volunteers as a police officer in London.

A separate source said Sir Rod – who has eight children with five women – has the support of his whole brood in leaving the US.
‘They all know how happy him and Penny are living there and that is all they want is for their father to be happy,’ they said.
It comes as Sir Rod shared a picture of himself beaming with pride as he met his grandsons who were born just days apart and joined his only granddaughter, Delilah, 11.
