Love Island star Catherine Agbaje was seen by the medical team during filming after ‘falling ill.’
The tenth season of the reality dating series began on Monday night with presenter Maya Jama welcoming the fresh batch of singletons to the villa.
Similar to last year’s twist, the public had the power over the couplings, and the 22-year-old estate agent was partnered up with 21-year-old business owner Andre Furtado.
According to reports, after the islanders were paired up on Saturday, Catherine felt unwell and was quickly seen by paramedics.
A source shared: ‘Her [Catherine] welfare was the priority and filming with the other islanders and Maya was stopped until she was feeling better.’
‘It seemed the heat, nerves and not eating enough was the cause of her turn and she returned to filming not long after,’ they insider added to The Sun.

However, once Catherine’s temperature was restored she was happy to continue filming.
From Molly Marsh, Tyrique Hyde, Ella Thomas, Mitchel Taylor, Ruchee Gurung, Mehdi Edno, Jess Harding, George Fensom, Catherine and André the vote paired up Molly and Mitchel, Ruchee and Mehdi, Ella and Tyrique, Jess and George… and Catherine and André.
However, viewers were not comfortable seeing the two Black contestants put in a couple together again.
‘Every single year it’s the two token Black islanders that get coupled up,’ argued one person while another chimed in: ‘THEY PUT THE BLACK GIRL WITH THE BLACK GUY?! SHOCK!!!!’
‘Who in the public keeps putting the only 2 black ppl [sic] together own up,’ complained another.
‘Did voters think it was a game of “match the skin colours”?’ asked one fan while another chastised the British voting public for ‘literally just play match the skin colour every time’.
