Tottenham have announced the appointment of Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou as the club’s new manager.

The 57 year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal and he will become the first Australian to manage in the Premier League.

Spurs, who have been without a permanent manager since sacking Antonio Conte in March, have clearly been impressed with Postecoglou’s career to date.

But exactly which teams has Postecoglou managed and how many trophies has he won as a manager so far?

Which teams has Ange Postecoglou managed?

Postecoglou began his managerial career at South Melbourne in 1996 after making the step up from assistant coach.

He left to join the Australian national team setup in 2000 as coach of the U17 and U20 sides, spending seven years with the Socceroos before leaving when Australia failed to qualify for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Brief spells at Panachaiki in the Greek third division and Whittlesea Zebras back in Melbourne followed before a move to Brisbane Roar in 2009.

After three hugely successful years in Brisbane, Postecoglou spent 18 months at Melbourne Victory until he was appointed as the head coach of Australia in October 2013.

Postecoglou took charge of Yokohama F. Marinos between 2018 and 2021 and was appointed by Celtic in 2023.

What trophies has Ange Postecoglou won?

Postecoglou guided South Melbourne to consecutive National Soccer League titles in 1997/98 and 1998/99 – in doing so ending a seven-year drought – as well as winning the 1999 Oceania Club Championship.

Brisbane Roar only lost one game in the 2010/11 season as they went on a 36-game unbeaten run to clinch the A-League Premiership and Championship, before becoming the first team to win back-to-back A-League championships the following year.

His spell with Australia saw him take charge at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil before overseeing a maiden win at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

Postecoglou helped Yokohama F. Marinos win their first J. League title in 15 years and oversaw a domestic double and treble at Celtic.
