Manchester United are in advanced talks to sell goalkeeper Dean Henderson to fellow Premier League club Nottingham Forest, according to reports.
Henderson has just spent the season on loan at the City Ground and Forest are keen to make it a permanent deal despite his injury-hit 2022-23 campaign.
The 26-year-old, capped once by England, started the season as Forest’s No.1 choice but a thigh problem sustained in January ruled him out for the remainder of the campaign as Steve Cooper’s side brought in Keylor Navas on loan.
But with Nevas’ loan expiring, Forest need to sign a goalkeeper and want to bring in Henderson from United permanently – with the two clubs now in advanced talks over a move, according to talkSPORT.
Henderson has been at United since he was 14-years-old but has spent the majority of his time out on loan at various clubs.
He spent two seasons on loan at Sheffield United from 2018 until 2020 – one of which was in the Premier League after helping them win promotion – and massively impressed as he was named the club’s Young Player of the Year twice.
Henderson retuned to Old Trafford for the 2020-21 campaign where he made 26 appearances across all competitions.

But Henderson made just three appearances the following season and was furious at his lack of playing time as he hit out at the club before joining Forest, who are now reportedly willing to pay £30m to sign him.
Meanwhile, United could be set to make a U-turn on handing David de Gea a new contract, despite agreeing terms with the goalkeeper.
The Spaniard’s future with the club remains in the balance after coming in for criticism after United’s 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
