Holly Willoughby will reportedly not be addressing Phillip Schofield’s affair again following her return to This Morning.
The 42-year-old was joined on the daytime programme by Josie Gibson, taking a deep breath as she delivered her speech to the cameras following Phil’s announcement of his departure and the fact that he lied about having an affair with a runner.
The presenters held hands as Holly’s eyes filled with tears, before the duo continued with the rest of the day’s schedule.
She began her statement by asking if viewers at home were doing ok, while also reassuring them that she hopes to recapture the ‘warmth and magic’ of This Morning in the near future.
Following a mixed reaction from viewers, it’s been claimed that yesterday’s instalment will be the only time Holly addresses the fallout.
An insider shared: ‘This is the only time Holly will ever speak about Phil and what has happened. She still feels incredibly angry and upset by his actions and is very much still trying to get her head around it.

‘It took a lot for Holly to compose herself and speak about what has gone on in the last few weeks. But people expecting her to sit and pour her heart out will be waiting for a long time,’ they added to The Sun.
Former co-host Phillip gave tell-all interviews to The Sun and BBC last week, in which he claimed to have ‘lost everything’.
He explained that he ‘wouldn’t be here’ if it weren’t for his two daughters – Molly and Ruby – as the fallout of his affair confession left him suicidal.
Phillip also explained how he reached out to former BFF Holly to apologise for his behaviour.

He said: ‘I’ve lost my best friend. I let her down (Holly). I let that entire show down. I let the viewers down.
‘Holly did not know (about the affair). And she was one of the first texts that I sent, to say, “I am so, so sorry that I lied to you”.’
