Premier League clubs will once again splash the cash when the 2023 summer transfer window opens next month.
The 20 top flight teams spent an eye-watering £1.9 billion on new signings during last year’s summer transfer window.
And with the likes of Harry Kane, Declan Rice and Mason Mount potentially on the move, don’t bet against them eclipsing that eye-watering figure this time around.
But when exactly does the summer transfer window open this year for clubs in the Premier League and around Europe? Let’s take a look at the opening and closing dates.
When does the transfer window open for Premier League clubs?

However, Premier League clubs will only be able to complete domestic transfers with other English clubs in the first few weeks of the window.
The international transfer window will open on Saturday, July 1, at which point deals with clubs around the world can take place.
Clubs are able to sign free agents at any point in the year.
When does the transfer window close for Premier League clubs?
The 2023 summer transfer window will close on Friday, September 1 at 11pm.
This will give Premier League clubs just over 11 weeks to undertake their transfer business.
What about the other leagues?
The transfer window for clubs in the Championship, League One and League Two opens and closes at exactly the same time as the Premier League one.
The transfer window for top flight clubs in France, Spain, Germany and Italy will also operate to the same closing date.
The summer deadline date had been set by the Premier League following discussions with their European counterparts ‘to ensure harmonisation with the major leagues in Europe.’
