Mauricio Pochettino wants goalkeeper Andre Onana and is willing to offer Inter Milan cash plus Chelsea star Edouard Mendy to sign him.
That is according to Foot Mercato, who report that the new Chelsea manager is a big fan of the shotstopper, whose efforts have helped Inter reach the Champions League final.
Goalkeeper has been a problem area for the Blues since the departure of Thibaut Courtois in 2018, with the club spending a world-record fee on his replacement Kepa Arrizabalaga.
But the Spaniard has proved to be inconsistent and unreliable in-between the sticks, with Mendy signed to replace him just two years later and initially this worked wonders.
The 31-year-old was pivotal to Chelsea’s Champions League triumph in 2021, and after winning AFCON with Senegal was named the Best FIFA Men’s Goalkeeper for that season.
However, following his fantastic debut campaign, his form dipped and it has dropped even more over the past season, with injuries also limiting his game time.
In 2022/23, Mendy played just 12 times across all competitions, conceding 17 goals and keeping just one clean sheet, with just one of these appearances coming after the World Cup.

He has also reportedly turned down multiple offers to extend his contract past 2025 and will all that in mind he is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
And though Mendy has struggled of late, he is still well-regarded but it is unclear whether or not Inter would be happy to replace Onana with him or how much extra cash they would want if a swap deal was to go ahead.
The 27-year-old only joined the Serie A club last summer on a free from Ajax and has a contract that runs until 2027.

The Cameroon international has enjoyed a great first season at the San Siro, keeping 19 clean sheets in 40 games so far, conceding 35 goals in the process and winning the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
As mentioned, Inter have also reached the Champions League final, where they’ll aim to stop Manchester City from winning the treble after Pep Guardiola’s side moved one step closer to history after beating Manchester United to the FA Cup on Saturday.
