Nick Cannon has shared his support for Jamie Foxx after briefly replacing his pal on Beat Shazam.
The Django Unchained actor sparked concern in April when he was rushed to hospital over a ‘medical emergency’, with his daughter, Corinne, sharing the news.
It was later reported that the 55-year-old was undergoing physical rehabilitation following his health issues – but details surrounding the scare have not been made clear.
Discussing the news, Nick insisted that the Oscar-winner will shed light on what happened when he is ‘ready’.
‘One thing I’ve always respected about how Jamie’s moved throughout his entire career, if you’ve noticed, he’s always been somebody who is extremely professional and extremely private,’ the dad-of-12 told Extra.
‘You don’t ever really hear anything other than just the great work that he puts forth as a professional and the fact that he’s handled this situation with the same manner, you only can respect that.

‘The information that is out there is the information that they want to be out there.
‘I believe when he’s ready, he’s going to address the awaiting fans in the world the way that only he can.’
Nick and Kelly Osbourne were on hand to replace Jamie and Corinne on Beat Shazam, while the host continued his recovery.
‘I was actually working on something else and they say, “Jamie wants you to do this.” And I was like, “I’ll do anything for Jamie”. I got the blessing from him and Corinne,’ the Masked Singer presenter added. ‘Jamie’s happy with the job that I did on Beat Shazam.’

Corinne, first broke the news of his ill health on Instagram, sharing a now-deleted statement from the family.
‘We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,’ she said in a now-deleted post.
‘Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
‘We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.’
In a later update posted on May 12, she added: ‘My dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday!
‘Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support! We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!’
