EastEnders lines up one of the most emotional weeks in its 38-year history on our screens, with the aftermath of Lola Pearce’s (Danielle Harold) death sending shockwaves through the Square.
Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), who failed to make it back in time to be there for Lola’s final moments, does his best to help daughter Lexi (Isabella Brown) in the aftermath of her mum’s death, focusing all his attention on her.
In fact, he even sells the Arches to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who is keen to get her hands on the property for boyfriend Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters). Lexi, meanwhile, finds it hard to open up, so Ben takes her for ice cream and tries to get her excited about going to see Callum Highway (Tony Clay), who Lexi is very fond of.
But, struggling with grief, Lexi just wants to go home to Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and get into bed.
Callum advises his husband to brave the subject of Lola and to allow grieving Lexi to talk about her mum, but will Lexi be able to discuss her feelings?

Away from the emotions of Lola’s passing, there is tension aplenty over at the Vic, with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) struggling in the wake of the Knight clans’ invasion.
What’s more, the landlady is convinced that patriarch George (Colin Salmon) is up to no good, with her suspicions piqued when she learns that he still hasn’t sold his bar in Marbella.
With Linda keen to get rid of him, George turns the tables, proposing to Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), with Linda later begging her mum not to marry him, but who will Elaine listen to?

Elsewhere, Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry) could finally be set to get his comeuppance, with Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) overhearing the villain carrying out a dodgy deal over the phone, later relaying her discovery to Suki (Balvinder Sopal), with the lovers’ subsequently getting all the details they can on the deal in question as they plot their escape.
But will their plot pay off? Or will it be Nish who has the last laugh?
EastEnders airs these scenes between Monday June 5 and Thursday June 8 at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
