Rio Ferdinand and his wife Kate Ferdinand are said to have been left in a state of shock after intruders were seen on the grounds of their estate.

According to reports, invaders were spotted on the site of their shared home in the home counties on Friday.

The Sun claims that the family was left ‘shaken up’ following the incident, with an investigation into the security breach well underway.

Despite the scary ordeal, the Ferdinands aren’t letting the incident get the better of them and have continued to post on Instagram as normal.

On Saturday afternoon, Kate uploaded a video of her pouring passionfruit and mango smoothie into some glasses for her brood to enjoy.

Captioning the post, she added: ‘Lazy but very loud Saturdays. Well, it’s loud every day in this house.’

Kate, 31, is currently pregnant with her second child with Rio and is planning to have a caesarean section following the stressful birth of their son, Cree, who was born in December 2020.

The couple announced their pregnancy joy in January following Kate’s revelation the previous year that she had lost her pregnancy at 12 weeks.

Rio is also father to Tate, 13, Lorenz, 15, and Tia, 11, whom he shares with his late wife Rebecca Ellison, who died in 2015 following a short battle with cancer.

Just last month, Kate revealed her upset after her step-son Lorenz moved out of the family home to follow in his dad’s footsteps as a professional footballer.

Speaking about Lorenz leaving the nest on her popular podcast, Blended, Rio described how Kate was ‘crying’.

She went on to add: ‘I was devastated when he moved out. I miss him so much. We still see him twice a week but I miss him so much and that’s taken a lot of getting used to.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted Kate and Rio’s reps for comment.
