Jenna Ortega might be the wallpaper on plenty of fans’ phones’, but it turns out her own has a pretty unexpected star as its focus.
The actress, 20, started her career as a child actress before appearing in the second season of You and then going on to star as Wednesday Addams in the hugely popular Netflix series of the same name.
Her star has been rapidly rising, so much so she was a recent attendee to the Met Gala.
But while her outfit caught plenty of people’s attentions, a small detail that was picked up on has also got many people talking.
As she was entering the event, Jenna was chatting to fans as she made her way in, with some recording their interactions.
Soon after the fact a few noticed something interesting when scrolling in after seeing her phone screen featured none other than Wednesday co-star Emma Myers.
In the series, Emma played Wednesday’s colourful werewolf roommate Enid Sinclair.
Fans couldn’t get enough once they saw it.
‘Oh my god that’s co cute,’ one person posted on social media.
‘Best friend goals,’ someone else said.
Another added: ‘Emma and Jenna are the ultimate. Nothing beats having your bestie as your lockscreen! Adorable!’
Forming a close friendship since appearing on the series together, Jenna previously called Emma an ‘amazing scene partner’.
‘It was mostly just the two of us goofing around,’ she said when appearing on the Armchair Expert podcast.
‘We’re still really good friends and we have a great relationship in real life. I’m really glad that we got to be together.
‘She’s one of my closest friends. I think we have a different dynamic off screen, but I still don’t think it’s any less important or deep or beautiful than Enid and Wednesday’s.’

But while the pair have become super close off camera, fans desires for their characters to form a romantic connection on screen have so far been shut down.
Earlier this year Emma said she thought that after all the drama of the first season, Wednesday needed to have some time to herself.

‘We haven’t really spoken about direction at all, so I don’t really know what the game plan is for anything,’ she said.
‘As far as love interests go for Wednesday, I feel like at least for a second season, she needs to take her season of singleness,’ she added when speaking to Variety.
In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in March, Jenna then said she wanted her character to ‘get out of the romantic situation and be her own individual and fight her own crime’.
Wednesday is streaming on Netflix.
