Like a lot of the UK, the Loose Women panel tuned in to watch the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The royal event didn’t get an entirely positive response from the daytime chat show stars.
In fact, Coleen Nolan would have been happy if the coverage was cut down to just the royal family’s Buckingham Palace balcony appearance, meaning that the actual ceremony in Westminster Abbey would get the cut.
The 58-year-old remarked: ‘My favourite part was when they all come out on the balcony. They could have just done that for me and forgot all the rest.
‘The balcony bit was the best.’
She also wanted the monarch to ‘smile a bit’ more during the rest of the day.
Janet Street-Porter added: ‘It was so underpowered. It was almost like they were exhausted about what was going on before. I felt like saying, “Get the kids up, let them do more.” The people in the mall had waited so long to see them.’

On a previous episode of Loose Women Coleen revealed that despite being a ‘royalist’ she felt ‘uncomfortable’ watching the coronation.
‘Whenever people have gone, “They’re a waste of time and it’s a waste of money”, I’ve always been very much like, “It’s amazing and it’s history and everyone’s celebrating” – but actually, through the whole thing this weekend, I felt really uncomfortable, I have to say.’
She had quite a personal reason for feeling that way: ‘My sister [Linda Nolan] who is, as we know, very ill [Linda’s cancer has spread to her brain] – she had to go to hospital and was in A&E for 20 hours before anyone saw her,’ Coleen stated.
‘And, of course, I’m the watching this spectacle going, “It’s all very well saying it brought £300m in for that sector [hospitality], but can we please bring that in for the NHS because it’s dying?’
She also commented on the moment that the crown was placed on Charles head, and noted it wasn’t very smooth: ‘They screwed the crown on.’
Janet, 76, wasn’t happy with the official imagery either and said it needed ‘to look a bit more like the 21st Century.’
While Ruth Langsford chipped in to remark the photos looked ‘stiff,’ and hilariously admitted that she was just curious as to when royals were able to visit the toilet.
She also noted that Camilla was ‘fiddling with her hair’ during the ceremony.
Kelle Bryan joined in with a more positive take and told her co-stars that she loved seeing the children and hearing Prince William’s speech at the coronation concert.
‘It was heartfelt and concise.’ She added that she thought he didn’t extensively mention Camilla out of ‘respect for Princess Diana.’
Viewers didn’t entirely agree with the stance of the panelists.
One wrote: ‘Coleen moaning about the King and Queen not smiling……….pot and kettle.’
Another penned: ‘Yesterday they were pro royals and today knifes are out.’

Although, Ruth got praise for her curiosity as to the practicalities of the day.
‘I definitely thought when they were able to have comfort breaks too, Ruth!’ wrote one equally-curious viewer.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
