Like mother, like daughter.
Anyone who somehow forgot the coronation of King Charles III is a family affair would have surely been reminded when Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte entered Westminster Abbey.
The mother and daughter duo were already dressed alike, with both wearing Alexander McQueen ivory dresses with very similar headpieces made of silver bullion and crystal.
But their resemblance was even more uncanny when they posed identically shortly after arriving at the Abbey.
The Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte were both pictured looking back over their left shoulders with a serious expression on their faces.
Kate was wearing a Royal Victorian Order Mantle over her dress, while Charlotte’s dress featured a matching cape.
The four flowers of the home nations – English rose, Scottish thistle, Welsh daffodil and Irish shamrock – were embroidered onto the dress.
Jess Collett, who created their stunning headpieces, founded her business thanks to a grant from The Prince’s Trust, a charity founded by the now King.

The parallels between the two royals were spotted by fans on social media, who described the pair as ‘the epitome of a real life beautiful princess and future queen’.
There were a number of heartwarming moments between the Princess of Wales and her children throughout the coronation ceremony.
At one point Charlotte and Kate shared a warm laugh, while Charlotte took her younger brother Louis’s hand as they walked behind their parents.
