Summary of the front page
The Daily Express leads with a new Alzheimer’s drug that has been proven to slow the disease by more than a third, in patients with early symptoms.
Writing in the paper, doctor Richard Oakley from the Alzheimer’s Society says the success of the medicine, called Donanemab, means “we are at the beginning of the end” of the condition.
The paper says the finding provides “real hope” in the battle against the disease and quotes Dr Susan Kohlhaas, director of research at Alzheimer’s Research UK, calling it a “hugely significant moment”.
