In upcoming scenes in Coronation Street, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) is set to descend back into criminality and put himself in danger after a confrontation with Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths).

Paul is grappling with his Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis, with him concerned about money after Trish (Steph Parry), a woman he met with whose husband has MND, explained how life will become more expensive as he becomes more disabled.

When Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) tries to make plans with Paul, Paul lies and makes out he’s already got plans with Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown).

However, Billy quizzes Dee-Dee about her plans with Paul, and luckily for Paul, Dee-Dee thinks on her feet and covers for him, but she becomes suspicious and decides to secretly follow Paul to find out what he’s up to.

He leads her to Freshco’s car park where she finds him about to steal a car. Dee-Dee threatens to call the police but Paul is adamant that he needs the money and putting the car into gear, roars off.

Later, Paul corners Damon in the bistro office and demands £25k or he’ll grass him up for his criminal activities, but he gets more than he bargains for following the confrontation.

Damon stands his ground and later double-crosses Paul by calling his criminal contacts, urging them to shut down Paul’s attempt at blackmail. How much danger is Paul in?

Elsewhere, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) takes Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) for a birthday lunch at the Bistro, with Damon joining the pair and leaving Sarah squirming.

Adam tells Nick that there may be a problem with the late license as some locals have raised objections. When Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) lets slip that Sarah was one of those who raised objections about the late licence, Nick and Adam are furious but Damon enjoys her discomfort. How will Sarah turn this around?

In other scenes, Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) will reach out to Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) as Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) offers to re-book their tickets to Vegas and reminds Elaine that he’ll need her passport, will Elaine agree?

Lastly, Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) suggests that he and George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) enter their model ships into a competition.

Eric Sandford (Craig Cheetham) calls at the garage and, showing his son Aaron Sandford (James Craven) the keys to his new flat, suggests he should move back in with him, what will he decide?
