Karlie Kloss is expecting her second child with husband Joshua Kushner, debuting her baby bump in style at the Met Gala 2023.
The supermodel is known for commanding attention on the red carpet but dropped a huge bombshell of her own at the exclusive bash, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday night.
She went all out for the event, opting for black Loewe gown covered in strands of pearls – in honor of Karl Lagerfeld.
The 30-year-old accessorized very simply with rings and earrings, choosing instead to let her bump do the talking.
‘I got a +1, shhh. Don’t tell anybody. I’m so happy, this is the first time I’m sharing my news, so it’s very special,’ she told Vogue at the ceremony.
‘I was pregnant last time during the pandemic so I didn’t leave my sweatpants.

‘So this is the first time I’m on a red carpet pregnant and it’s a super special moment, also kind of vulnerable – so I don’t know how to style a belly – I can’t imagine a more special moment.’
Chatting to Entertainment Tonight, she revealed why she decided to share her baby news at the Met Gala.
‘This is the most important night in fashion, of course,’ she said. ‘I’m honestly surprised I could keep it a secret this long.’

Karlie and Joshua, 37, confirmed their engagement in 2018, and tied the knot later that same year – before a second wedding ceremony in 2019.
They started their family in March, 2021, welcoming son Levi Joseph together.
The Project Runway host later lifted the lid on motherhood in a candid chat on the Today Show, describing it as the ‘greatest joy’.
‘The moment he was placed on my arms … I just had this moment of, “Now, every woman who has a child, every parent, goes through this.”

‘And it’s just the most profound experience that I had no idea [about] until having a kid.’
‘I think the last few years have changed us as well but becoming a mom? I have become, first of all, so much more efficient with my time. I’m actually on time everywhere now,’ she added.
‘And I’m always a multitasker … I’m doing a thousand things. But I think priorities just changed.’
