Much was expected of Wrexham heading into this season following the success of the first series of their Disney+ documentary.

And the Welsh club have duly lived up to their Welcome to Wrexham billing, winning the National League title to clinch automatic promotion to League Two as champions.

At times during this campaign, it has felt like Wrexham’s exploits would be too unbelievable even for a Hollywood script befitting of their owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mcelhenney.

This drama has left fans desperate to know when the second series of Welcome to Wrexham could be released in the UK.

Here is everything we know so far.

When could Welcome to Wrexham season two come out?

An official release date has not yet been announced, with Disney only confirming that the new series will be released at some point this year.

However, the first series arrived on our screens in August 2022, leading to speculation that season two could drop at around the same time.

And with the League Two season set to start in August, it is very possible it could land just in time for their first season back in the Football League for 15 years.

    How to watch

When it drops, viewers in the UK can catch season two on Disney+, with the show available to watch on a smart TV and with the app and web player.

A subscription with the streaming giants costs £7.99 a month or £79.90 for the whole year.

You can watch the entire of season one on the service right now.

What could happen in the second series?

The series will likely focus around Wrexham’s epic season-long title tussle with Notts County with both clubs passing the 100 point mark.

Wrexham and Notts County met in a decisive game at The Racecourse Ground in April, with the home side securing a dramatic 3-2 win curtesy of a late penalty save from former Manchester United and Tottenham goalkeeper Ben Foster, who came out of retirement to join the team in March.

The Red Dragons also reached the fourth round of the FA Cup, only succumbing to two late goals from Sheffield United in the replay following a dramatic 3-3 draw in north Wales.

There was even a visit from King Charles and Camilla, the Queen Consort, who met with Reynolds and McElhenney in December.

Wrexham are also set to face Manchester Untied and Chelsea in two money spinning friendlies in America in July.
