Tottenham host Manchester United in north London tonight, looking to make amends for their humiliating 6-1 defeat to Newcastle last weekend.
Cristian Stellini, who was only appointed as interim head coach following the dismissal of Antonio Conte last month, paid the ultimate price for the defeat by being removed from his post on Monday.
Ryan Mason has been put in charge for the rest of the season and victory over United – who are currently three positions and six points ahead in the table – would put them back in contention for a top-four finish.
But with Erik ten Hag’s United having won their last three Premier League games, it will not be an easy task for Spurs.
Tottenham team news
Mason is unsure if Hugo Lloris will be fit enough to take up his usual position between the sticks after being withdrawn at half-time during Sunday’s mauling with a muscle injury
The Spurs captain is approaching 450 appearances for the club but the French veteran is waiting to see how his muscle settles before a decision is made either way on his inclusion.

Ben Davies and Clement Lenglet were both unused substitutes in the North East but both were set to be reviewed after Wednesday’s training session.
Lenglet, who has forced his way into the starting XI in recent weeks, was taken off early during the 3-2 defeat home defeat to Bournemouth earlier in the month.
Mason said: ‘Ben has come off the back of quite a long muscle injury and Clem, there is a problem with his foot and he had to come off in a recent game, so we’ll see how they all react after training.
Emerson Royal remains unavailable following the knee surgery he underwent in March, while Yves Bissouma (ankle) and Ryan Sessegnon (thigh) remain in the treatment room with respective ankle and thigh complaints.
Lucas Moura is available again following a three-match suspension.
Manchester United team news
Bruno Fernandes is a doubt for the clash having picked up a knock during United’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Brighton on Sunday.
The Portuguese midfielder was withdrawn in extra-time at Wembley but, crucially, he has not been definitively ruled out from this evening’s game.

Erik ten Hag told club media: ‘ Bruno, we have to wait. He is obviously a question mark. He had a big kick in the first half but he played the game, over 90 minutes, and even in extra-time.
‘But then he went off. We’ve all seen. He’s not excluded for [today] but he is a question mark.’
Alejandro Garnacho has returned to training for the first time since picking up an ankle injury against Southampton on March 12, however the match will come to soon for the Argentine who is only just building up fitness following his six weeks on the sidelines.
Harry Maguire has returned from the suspension that prevented him from featuring in the win over the Seagulls.
Lisandro Martinez will miss the rest of the season with the broken metatarsal sustained in the Europa League quarter-final first leg against Sevilla.
The 25 year-old took to Twitter to respond to the injury setback, saying: ‘Not the way I imagined what’s been a very special season would end, but sometimes we face obstacles along the way that we have to overcome to make us stronger and we learn from them.

‘I know that I’ll be back soon to go for more. In the meantime, I’ll continue to support my team-mates to achieve our objectives.
‘The messages & support I’ve received has been amazing, they’re giving me strength and encouragement. Thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart.’
Raphael Varane also suffered an injury in the clash with Sevilla at Old Trafford but ten Hag is hopeful the Frenchman, who has racked up 30 appearances in all competitions this season, will be fit enough to return in time for the FA Cup final.
