Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) was left in tears in Hollyoaks after James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) demanded that she stay away from Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) after the truth about the stem cell transplant was revealed.
Juliet, who has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, was due to receive her stem cell transplant earlier this month in Birmingham, but it soon became apparent that the procedure didn’t go ahead as planned.
Peri urged her to reveal the truth to her loved ones, but Juliet kept putting it off, much to the nurse’s dismay, with matters becoming complicated when Juliet started to mix with others when she should’ve been at home isolating.
Wednesday’s (April 26) edition of the Channel 4 soap saw Juliet promise Peri to stay at home, reiterating her intention to tell Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson), James and Romeo (Owen Warner) the truth about the transplant.
Peri, however, later caught her girlfriend outside the gym and, unable to keep up pretences any longer, she spilled the beans to Donna-Marie, James and Romeo, who were all devastated to learn that Juliet didn’t get the transplant she needs.
Juliet confided in her loved ones, revealing that she had planned to get the transplant, but that she picked up a kidney infection which meant the procedure couldn’t go ahead.

Donna-Marie, James and Romeo were keen to know why Juliet hadn’t previously revealed the truth to them, with Juliet admitting that, due to Donna-Marie’s relapse, not to mention James and Romeo being at each other’s throats, she felt the need to protect them from the truth.
Peri, meanwhile, became public enemy number one, with James and Donna-Marie blaming her for keeping shtum, while also claiming that Juliet isn’t Peri’s primary priority, as they packed up Jules’ belongings, ordering her to move back home.

James threatened to go after Peri’s medical career if she stands in his way and, after giving it some thought, Peri broke down in tears, urging Juliet to go home with her loved ones, claiming it’s for the best.
But will Peri do as she’s told and stay away? Or will James and Donna-Marie come to their senses and realise that Peri isn’t the problem here?
