Bruno Fernandes looks set to miss Manchester United’s huge clash against Tottenham after picking up an ankle injury in the FA Cup semi-final win.
The United attacking midfielder was focred off near the end of the first-half of extra-time in the penalty shootout win over Brighton at Wembley last Sunday.
He had suffered the injury earlier in the game though, with many hopeful that that meant it was not too serious and he would be available for the Red Devils’ next two crucial games.
United travel to Spurs on Thursday night before hosting Aston Villa on Sunday – two of their biggest rivals for a place in the top four of the Premier League.
But on Monday, Fernandes was pictured with a protective boot and crutches, leading many to doubt that he would be fit in time for the game at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
Now, a report from the Mirror has appeared to confirm this while also claiming that he could miss the clash against Villa.

The 28-year-old has been a pivotal player for Erik ten Hag this season, scoring 10 and making 13 assists in 50 appearances so far, and often captaining the side in the absence of Harry Maguire.
The injury to the Portugal international is yet another injury worry Ten Hag has to worry about with fellow midfielders Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay also out, as well as forward Alejandro Garnacho and first-choice centre-back pairing Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.
