Belly pressing might not sound like the sexiest thing in the world, but word on the social media street is that it’s a very big deal.
Women on TikTok have been raving about this sex technique for some time, with videos singing its praises getting literal millions of views on the social media platform.
The idea is that, if you’re having penetrative sex with someone who has a vagina, pressing down on their lower stomach will help you stimulate their G-spot.
You probably don’t want to try it after you’ve just eaten, or if you haven’t gone to the loo for a while.
Bu as long as you don’t press too hard, Sarah Mulindwa, Lovehoney’s sex and sexual health expert, tells Metro.co.uk that this technique makes sense.
The tissue that runs over the abdomen and pelvis area – including the vagina and clitoris – are closely linked, so there is some truth in the ‘belly press’ technique.
‘We can often be a bit too focused on the penetration aspect of sex and forget the pleasure possibilities of stimulating other parts of the body,’ she explains.
‘External pressure can work really well to activate the G-spot, stimulate the clitoris, and aid you in achieving an orgasm.’
But you definitely don’t want to press too hard – this isn’t a part of the body that’s particularly sturdy, so be gentle.

‘Avoid applying pressure to the point of causing pain or harm, and try the technique yourself first before guiding your partner,’ advises Sarah.
‘But as long as you’re finding the experience pleasurable, it’s consensual, and the technique is right, there’s no harm in giving it a try.’
