Son Heung-min admits he feels ‘very responsible’ for Antonio Conte’s exit at Tottenham.
Spurs confirmed Conte’s departure ‘by mutual consent’ on Sunday evening, while Cristian Stellini has been appointed as caretaker manager until the end of the season.
Following Tottenham’s 3-3 draw with Southampton before the international break, Conte slammed his Spurs players, branding them ‘selfish’ and not wanting to ‘play under pressure’.
Son is among the players who have underperformed during Conte’s reign this season, scoring just six Premier League goals so far, while the club will once again end the season without a trophy.
And the South Korea international has issued an apology to the Italian for his contribution this term.
‘I am very sorry to him as a player,’ Son said on Tuesday.

‘I should have shown better sides of me to him and helped the team out more, but I wasn’t able to.
