A man has been charged with murder after another man was killed by a single stab to the heart.

Migen Emilova, 35, of no fixed address, was charged with murder today following the death of Stefan Stelian Moraru, 44.

Mr Moraru was found seriously hurt in Chandos Avenue, Barnet, London at around 6am on Monday and died at the scene.

The Met Police, who launched a murder investigation soon after, said a ‘disturbance or altercation’ had taken place before the Romanian national was injured.

A post-mortem examination held on Tuesday confirmed he died from a stab wound to the heart, they added.

Mr Moraru’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.

Emilova will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (March 27).

Detectives have also arrested three more men on suspicion of murder. Two men, aged 46 and 39, remain in custody at a north London police station.
