Tammy Abraham is set to make a return to the Premier League this summer, according to reports in Italy, amid links to Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Blues have a £70.8 million (€80m) buy-back clause for the Roma star while United are keen to bring in a striker and may be the more attractive prospect at this current moment in time, especially if they qualify for the Champions League.
Abraham has impressed in the Italian capital under Jose Mourinho since joining from Stamford Bridge in 2021, helping them win the Europa Conference League.
The 25-year-old England international has registered 34 goals and 11 assists across 91 games for Roma but Sky in Italy report he is ‘destined’ to depart at the end of the current season.
Abraham has a long association with Chelsea having progressed through the club’s youth academy and has scored 30 goals across 82 games for the Blues.
Like United, Graham Potter’s side are in need of a new striker, but they may decide to give Romelu Lukaku a fresh chance, who is set to return from Inter Milan ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Chelsea have struggled this season and are all the way down in 10th in the Premier League, while United are third having also won the Carabao Cup.

But Abraham is not the only striker United are considering either with Erik ten Hag’s side linked with a big money move for Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
It seems Abraham will end up at either Chelsea or United, though, and Roma boss Mourinho is already making plans for his replacement, with Sky in Italy reporting that the Portuguese manager wants a more experienced striker.
Roma are currently fifth in Serie A after 27 games, three points off third, and have a strong chance of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
