Coronation Street star Colson Smith is continuing to update fans on his health and fitness journey, something that’s seen him lose 10 stone.
The actor, who plays Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, began running during he first lockdown, which eventually led him to change the way he looks at life and how he lives it.
‘When I first started it was purely to lose weight and in the first two months I probably hated every run I went on’, Colson previously told Metro.co.uk.
‘I did it because it was going to benefit me for the rest of my life. In my head, every run was going to make me less fat. Then what I learned was that the runs were the only time in the day I had for me.
‘When I was running, I’d talk to myself and set a to-do list out in my head, and suddenly I realised I wasn’t running to lose weight any more, I was running out of pure enjoyment. From then on, losing weight and changing my shape was a side effect — it became less relevant.’
Right now, Colson has taken a small break away from Weatherfield for a holiday in Palma, and is still continuing to document his fitness journey.

The actor recently uploaded a video to his Instagram account, which sees him in his workout gear heading out for another run.
Last year, during an appearance on Loose Women, Colson opened up about his weight-loss alongside his co-stars Ben Price and Jack P Shepherd, who all host the podcast Sofa Cinema Club.
During the interview Ben discussed his friend’s transformation and said: ‘I think it was a real privilege for me to be there and watch become the man he is now.’
He then admitted that he even struggled to keep up with Colson when they went running together.
‘He went from this lad and then… I couldn’t keep up. I started running with you, we were running together and now I can’t keep up with him!’
