Natasha Hamilton admits there were ‘major catfights’ behind the scenes of Atomic Kitten

Natasha Hamilton has admitted Atomic Kitten had ‘major cat fights’ back in the day.

The 40-year-old singer is part of the Whole Again hitmakers alongside Liz McClarnon and Jenny Frost, with former members including Kerry Katona and Heidi Range.

Addressing the bond she shares with Liz and Jenny on Friday’s episode of This Morning on ITV, she said: ‘We had each other’s backs through thick and thin.

‘We didn’t always agree and there would be some major cat fights behind the scenes. But to put it to bed, its like siblings. You fall out every now and then, but you love each other and you support each other.’

Natasha is the newest face on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, and she admitted her experience in the band has helped prepare her for the world of reality TV.

She confessed: ‘I’ve done little bits over the years, but when they asked me to join I was like, “What am I gonna do?” Because I’ve worked with feisty ladies before, with Jenny and Liz, so I know what it can be like. It can be intense.’

‘They are my sisters, I love them dearly,’ she added.

Last month, the mum-of-four revealed she is expecting her fifth child, her first with husband Charles Gay, and her pregnancy affected her initial meeting with the other Real Housewives stars.

‘I was in my early stages of pregnancy. So that scene you’ve just watched, I was so ill! I just felt so sick. You’re meeting all these women, and I’m like, all I want to do is vomit on them,’ she joked.

She explained: ‘I didn’t really want to [tell them I was pregnant]. [But] then everyone’s like, “Are you not having a drink?” And you get judged, you know!’

Reflecting on the show, her pregnancy and her solo career plans, she said: ‘To be honest, it’s just all happened a the same time.

‘Me and my husband have been married for a year and a half, and we have been trying since we got married. It’s taken us a little bit longer than what we thought. Everything’s kinda landed at the same time.

‘But I mean, my life’s always been busy, I’ve always had a busy career, I’ve had a big family.’

While it was ‘nerve racking’ filming her early scenes for the show, she has got to know her co-stars and pointedly said that ‘most of them are lovely’.

She added: ‘They’re all big personalities. For me, I just wanted to go in, take each person as they come, judge them on how they treated me, and see how the relationships go from there.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
