Eric Foster (Angus Castle-Doughty) staged a terrifying comeback in a Hollyoaks dream sequence, as Tony Hutchinson’s (Nick Pickard) torment continues.
Tony, as viewers know, has struggled to get a decent night’s sleep since radical misogynist Eric shot Diane (Alex Fletcher) with a crossbow during a tense siege at the pub earlier this year.
Diane has become increasingly worried about her husband, who has been distant since the incident, and after having a sex dream about Beau Ramsey (Jon-Paul Bell), she has made it her mission to ignite the spark in her marriage once more.
Thursday’s (March 9) first look offering of the Channel 4 soap saw her organise a special night out, much to Tony’s dismay, with the chef making it quite clear that he was knackered from the lack of sleep.
After a glass of wine, Tony dozed off on the couch, leaving Diane feeling sympathetic, as she pulled the throw over him and made sure he was comfortable, hoping her beloved hubby would finally catch a decent night’s kip.

Tony, however, had a terrifying dream, which saw him wake up on the couch and approach who he thought was Diane, but to his shock it was Eric, who began laughing maniacally.
The landlord of The Dog took hold of Eric, ordering him to reveal what he had done with Diane, but he soon woke up to find that he was actually wrestling with his wife, who was worried sick about what had unfolded.

Will Tony be able to get the help he needs?
Eric, as fans know, is locked away for what he did in prison, with recent scenes having seen a number of villagers discover that the character had pled guilty in court.
