Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid revealed an awkward wardrobe mishap left her ‘covering up’ moments before going on air on Wednesday morning.
The broadcaster, 52, joined Ed Balls in a sharp red dress, pinned together by a silver brooch, however things hadn’t been going to plan.
‘It’s amazing what you can do, in terms of activity in an outfit, and still manage to emerge serene,’ Ed began.
He then pointed towards her brooch, to which Susanna laughed and said: ‘What are you referring to?’
She went on to explain: ‘Oh yeah, I had a bit of an outfit, wardrobe crisis this morning.
‘I put an outfit on that seemed to blend into the background, so the director with two minutes to spare said, “Is there anything else in your wardrobe?”
‘So, at two minutes to six, nipped into the wardrobe, found this, didn’t realise it needed a bit more buttoning up,’ she laughed.

Ed replied: ‘I’ve never ever read a news headline from the autocue while simultaneously trying to unzip you from the back!’
‘There was a team of eight,’ he joked, indicating how many it took to help Susanna sort out her crisis, while she clarified: ‘There wasn’t a team of eight! A team of one!’
‘It was a last minute cover-up job!’ she added.

This comes after Susanna opened up about going into Ukraine one year since Russia’s invasion.
On Monday’s GMB, Susanna spoke to co-hosts Ed, 55, and Ranvir Singh, 45, from Ukraine, wearing a yellow puffer jacket to keep warm as cold winds blew around her in the capital city of Kyiv.

Sharing that it was her first time in Ukraine, having previously travelled to Poland, Susanna said: ‘I have come back and crossed from Poland this time into Ukraine. It’s taken hours ‘cause it is a massive country. It takes about 10 hours to get from Poland to here in Kyiv.’
The broadcaster opened up about visiting one of the towns outside the capital during her visit which had been ‘worst affected’ in the violent war.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1.
