what will Hope do next? (Picture: ITV)
Hope Stape is no stranger to causing chaos in Coronation Street, having manipulated the situation to her advantage multiple times throughout her time on the cobbles.
The young character has, as viewers will recall, started several fires, told lies to get her own way and even assisted cousin Joseph in staging his own disappearance.
But what’s next for Hope? Isabella Flanagan, who has played the character since 2017, has discussed the future, and speculated that there might be more mayhem to come!
‘I feel as if Hope might quieten down a bit,’ she told Inside Soap. ‘But then they’ll make her do something super bad.
‘Everyone will think she’s doing something nicer, and then “Boom!” – she’ll do something awful.’
Be afraid. Be very afraid!
Isabella also discussed which Corrie characters she’d like to see Hope interact with, with Nina Lucas at the very top of that list.
‘Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina, is really cool and I’d like Hope to hang around the older girls a bit more.
‘The people on the show are like my second family, I never want to leave.’

Hope will be at the centre of another storyline in the coming weeks, after she’s bullied at school for her dad John Stape’s murderous ways when an extract of a book about him is published in the gazette.
Sam Blakeman offers her support and the two leave school, much to Fiz Stape’s horror when she finds them in Victoria Gardens.
Fiz is quick to berate Sam for not bringing Hope home, attempting to suggest that poor Sam was to blame for the whole thing.

Nick Tilsley gets involved and tells Fiz to stop shouting at his son, informing her that it’s more likely Hope that suggested Sam leave school – not the other way around.
Fiz attempts to argue otherwise, so Nick reckons it’s for the best if Sam doesn’t see Hope anymore, leaving Fiz to realise that she’s potentially cost her daughter her best friend.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
