It was only a matter of time until Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Al’s (Michael Wildman) affair was exposed, with Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and Aaron (Danny Miller) already in on the secret.
However, things look set to get explosive when Cain (Jeff Hordley) discovers Chas’ burner phone, and all the messages on it.
Determined to get to the bottom of who they’re from, he makes a call to the mystery number.
Across the village, Al answers, expecting Chas to be on the other end.
Instead, he is faced with silence, as Cain comes to the realisation that Al is Chas’ bit on the side.

Actor Jeff Hordley explained Cain’s shock, saying that he was ‘not at all’ who Cain expected to be on the other end of the phone.
‘Basically, Al caused Chas to lose the pub so why would she go to him? He’d be the last person he’d think of really, because of what happened with her losing the pub, which was down to Al.
‘It’s a horrible penny-dropping moment for him. It’s the last thing he would have expected.’
With Cain’s blood boiling, will Al survive his wrath?
