More than 150 people have died and hundreds left injured in a fatal crush in Seoul late last night.

Local shopkeepers and residents became heroes as they knelt until their knees bled to save the lives of the young people trampled in the chaos.

Harrowing photos from the scene show body bags lying in the street, while social media footage showed medics and citizens rushing to the victims’ aid.

In one horrific clip emergency responders desperately try to reach the victims trapped in the narrow alleyway.

Major search and rescue over fears person has fallen overboard from Stena Line ferry

Daily Mirror says A major search and rescue operation has been launched in Northern Ireland over fears a person fell overboard from a Stena Line ferry last night.

Multiple emergency services rushed to the scene in the Lough area of Belfast late on Saturday night and are still there this morning.

It comes amid unconfirmed reports that a person has fallen overboard from a Stena Line ferry, reports Belfast Live.

Police have asked members of the public to avoid the area while the operation is ongoing.

The Lagan Search & Rescue team confirmed at around 10.30pm last night that it was on a callout in the area.

The rally in central London is calling for changes to the justice system, with families demanding an urgent meeting with the new Prime Minister, Home Secretary and Mayor of London.

Alfred Omishore paid tribute to his 41-year-old son Oladeji Omishore, who died after jumping from a bridge having been Tasered.

“My son was caring, compassionate and artistically talented with a deep appreciation for nature,” he said.

Mr Omishore said on the fateful day his son died he had been vulnerable and suffering a mental health crisis.
