Crossed wires leads to a panic (Picture: BBC)
Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) is aware she’s on thin ice when it comes to childcare in EastEnders so yes, when she discovers Ollie is missing – the panic really sets in.
We are of course, referring to an episode of the BBC One soap that aired a couple of months ago, when baby Annie was taken into care.
Linda’s daughter was only put into a foster placement because of Janine’s (Charlie Brooks) scheming, which saw her trick people into thinking Linda was drinking again and was potentially responsible for the bruises on Annie’s arms.
Linda now has Annie back in her care, but she is fully aware that one wrong move and she could lose everything all over again.
Next week, Linda mopes to Alfie (Shane Richie) that she doesn’t want to celebrate Halloween this year due to memories with Mick (Danny Dyer) and is frustrated when he ignores her comments and organises an event in the pub.

As the day unfolds, Linda suddenly realises Alfie has taken Ollie trick-or-treating without her knowing.
Fortunately, Ollie and Alfie return and the next day, Linda thanks her new friend for making her Halloween memorable. She later returns the favour and helps Alfie with a plan to let Kat (Jessie Wallace) allow him to look after Tommy, Bert and Ernie over the weekend.
Miscommunication leads to a problem.
