Ellie Simmonds has hinted at an acting career after a spell-binding performance on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Olympian and dance partner Nikita Kuzmin dressed up as Velma Dinkley and Shaggy Rogers from Scooby Doo for the BBC’s Halloween week special.
Dancing the Foxtrot to the American TV series’ theme tune, the pair scored 29 from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.
While Craig, who was dressed as Morticia Addams, called the routine ‘slightly boring’, Motsi praised the duo for improving.
Meanwhile, head judge Shirley added: ‘Scooby Doo was my weekly show, so thank you for the memories.’
Reflecting on the performance with host Claudia Winkleman, who remarked on Ellie’s commitment to the character, the 27-year-old revealed she had loved the acting.
The athlete even teased that she might go on to acting next, adding: ‘Who knows?’

Ellie has previously impressed the judges with a beautiful rendition of Can’t Help Falling in Love, leaving Shirley and Motsi on their feet.
After a slow and sensitive performance, Motsi said the dance gave her ‘the biggest goose bumps ever.’

Craig added: ‘It had flow darling and I particularly loved the expression in your arms and hands, really really great.’
Meanwhile, head judge Shirley said she was ’emotional’ trying to give her comments, praising: ‘There is so much magic in something so simple.’
Before the Strictly began, Ellie spoke out about her journey on the show and the representation of disabled contestants.
‘The disability representation and dwarfism and it’s so out my comfort zone and it’s about adapting. Nikita and I were saying, ‘How are we going to work it,’ and we’re both in the unknown,’ she told HELLO.
