Jamie Lynn Spears broke down during the daunting trailer for Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test as the star is pushed to her limits.

The show, set to air on Fox in the US, will see a group of celebrities undergo challenges used to select Special Forces soldiers.

In a newly-released trailer for the programme, the 31-year-old singer and estranged sister of Britney Spears can be seen standing in a helicopter with her back to an open door.

A narrator ominously says: ‘If you should die, that is nature’s way of saying you failed,’ before the star leans back with her arms crossed and falls through the sky and into the sea.

‘I don’t care who they are. They’ve entered our world and they will play by our rules,’ says Jason Fox, one of the military Directing Staff on the programme.

And that world looks brutal, with the trailer showing celebrity guests falling out of helicopters, walking on high wires, and submerged underwater.

The Zoey 101 star later gets teary in the clip, saying she ‘just [wants] to feel like [she’s] worth something’ by taking part.

Jamie Lynn will be joined by Danny Amendola, Mel B, Hannah Brown, Tyler Florence, Kate Gosselin, Dwight Howard, Montell Jordan, Gus Kenworthy, Nastia Liukin, Carli Lloyd, Beverley Mitchell, Kenya Moore, Mike Piazza, Dr. Drew Pinsky, and Anthony Scaramucci in the series.

The narrator goes on to say the show will put celebrities through ‘a version of the highly-classified Special Forces training program,’ adding each of their tasks are ‘based on the real course.’

16 celebrities face seriously tough challenges in the series, with the only goal that they go 10 days without quitting (Picture: Fox)

They continue: ‘The only goal is to last 10 days without quitting.’

There will be no votes or eliminations when it comes to who continues with the show each week, instead, DS agents Billingham, Rudy Reyes, Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox, and Remi Adeleke will decide who proceeds to the next episode.

A release from the show also says recruits can choose to leave the show if things get ‘too tough’ or if they get injured.
