I’m A Celebrity campmate Mike Tindall has finally been confirmed for the series, but he’s already worried about being cut off from his family while filming.
The former England rugby player touched down in Brisbane yesterday ahead of entering the jungle and while he said the experience should be ‘good fun’, he’s not looking forward to being separated from wife Zara and their three children.
‘It should be good fun, why not? It is always worth a go isn’t it,’ he told OK!
But when asked what he would miss most, he said being away from his family would be difficult.
‘This will probably be the longest time I have been away and then not having communication, that will be the hardest bit,’ he said.
‘But also you get your head around what you are doing and try to win some stars. I want to win stars because I want to eat.’

Admitting that ‘hanger’ was front of his mind, he said that having three young children meant that he had plenty of experience with a lack of sleep.
The first royal to be part of the reality survival show, rumours had been flying for weeks that Tindall was set to join the cast, which also includes Olivia Attwood, Owen Warner, Charlene White and Chris Moyles, among others.
Tindall met his wife in a bar in Sydney when he was there for England’s World Cup win in 2003.

He’s been married to the daughter of Princess Anne since 2011, and they have three children, daughters Mia Grace, eight, Lena Elizabeth, four, and baby son Lucas.

Speaking to media at the airport Tindall also said how ‘special’ the country was to him.
‘Australia is a special place yeah I met Zara in Sydney. There is no holiday planned at the moment afterwards. If there was I wouldn’t tell you either,’ he joked.
Although the excitement surrounding his casting has been building, it’s not the first time he’s been on reality TV—back in 2015 Tindall appeared on The Jump and Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.
I’m A Celebrity 2022 begins on Sunday November 6 at 9pm on ITV.
