Alison Hammond has taken a moment to shut down any reports of a feud between her and her This Morning co-star Dermot O’Leary.
The former Big Brother star and former X Factor presenter take over from Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to present the ITV daytime show on Fridays.
However, some viewers think there the pair don’t actually get on, which left Alison pretty baffled.
‘I can’t tell you how wrong they actually are. I love the fact that people think that. I’m going to keep that going,’ she said.
Alison added to GK Barry on the Saving Grace podcast: ‘I’m going to go “babes, people think we hate each other, let’s do a couple of things on the telly like stand further apart”.
‘Like we’re still distancing.’
She continued: ‘But seriously, I love the fact people think we’ve got beef, it’s hilarious.

‘Honestly I can’t tell you how much I love that man, he’s so funny.’
Alison, who appeared on the third series of Big Brother and told Metro.co.uk that she would ‘love’ to come full circle and bag the hosting gig, joined Dermot on This Morning in January 2021, at a time when social distancing rules were being followed.
Alison added on the podcast: ‘I kind of liked the distancing though, cos I’m quite a rotund presenter and Dermot is so little, you couldn’t really tell that I was that big when we were separated.

‘Now we’re together, it’s like gosh, look at the size of Al.
‘But I’m owning it now, I’m taking up the spaces, and I just thinkk this is it, deal with it.’
Yesterday, Alison revealed she would love to host the Big Brother revival, after finding fame from competing in the show in 2002.

She told Metro.co.uk at the 2022 Ethnicity Awards in partnership with Metro: ‘I’ve not been offered that role at all, but obviously if it came my way who knows?
‘I’d have to think about it, definitely. I mean I started my whole journey on Big Brother, my career started from there, so I owe it a lot.

Auditions to become a housemate have opened and it’s been confirmed that Big Brother could be back as early as March 2023, but the host for the revival remains up in the air.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
